Super Fantastic Sunday!

Hello Friends!

I can't believe it is Monday! I am still thinking and looking back at what we did on Sunday with my lady friends and their offsprings. Everyone did an awesome job on their mini camera album, and everyone was pleased on how they all completed the album with 1 hour to spare.

They each got to pick their own designer paper series along with coordinating cardstocks. I had precut them all so that assembly was smooth and easy. Everyone went home with a beautiful mini album, PDF, Assembly Video and a gift for attending.

The company was superb, and the food was amazing!

We had:
  • Perogies
  • European Sausages
  • Chicken Wings
  • Spring Rolls
  • Caesar Salad
  • Chilli
  • Buns
  • Nanaimo Bars
  • Cinnamon Rolls'
  • Popcorn Chips
  • Blueberry Pie
  • Ice Tea
  • Lemon Tea
  • Pineapple Juice
Click on the video to see how much fun we had. Lots of laughters and their offsprings were a big help in creating the same. Great mother/daughter bonding.

Shake it Birthday!

Hello Friends!

I am short of birthday cards, and no matter what month I am always in need of birthday cards!

I cut a 6 x 12 of Whisper White cs, and lay the sheet onto the Multipurpose Adhesive sheet, and die cut the word "Birthday" 3x and stacked it on top of each die cut to create the thickness. The multipurpose sheet makes it easier to attach together quickly without the fuss of having the glue dry. Once the birthday is adhere together, then I used my markers to color in the rainbow colors. You can use your ink pads too if you don't have markers.

You probably want to know how I got the see through ovals! Here is the details.

  1. Cut (1) 4" x 5-1/4" of Color Theory DP. Align the DP to the base card, and add temporary adhesive to hold the two papers in place. Centre the oval die (#4), and crank it through the big shot. I highly recommend using the magnetic platform and if needed, add tape to hold the die in place to prevent it from moving. Die cut through both thickness. Remove the DP from the base card.
  2. Cut (2) 4" x 5-1/4" of window sheet, and adhere behind the dp and in front of the base card. Set aside.
  3. Add foam tape around the perimeter of the DP and around the oval. Remove the protective backing.
  4. On your base card, add whatever shaker elements you want in the centre, and then carefully lay your DP to the base card.
  5. Die cut (1) nesting oval dies (#4 and #5) from DP, and adhere to the base card.
  6. Punch 3 balloons from the balloon punch in Whisper White. I colored the balloons in with my markers, and spritz the balloons with water to create the watermark effect. Let dry before adding to the base card. Add silver thread for the balloons.
  7. Attach your assembled "birthday" die cuts with multipurpose glue.
  8. Stamp "Happy" onto remnant basic black with white craft. Add white embossing powder and then heat set it until the powder is melted. Trim, and then attach it to the base card.

Papers: Color Theory DP, Whisper White, Basic Black, Window Sheet, Retired DPs

Stamps: Little Piggy

Inks: So Saffron, Real Red, Island Indigo, Only Orange, Wasabi Green,

Accessories/Tools: Big Shot, Happy Birthday Thinlits, Balloon Punch, White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Oval Dies, Markers, Silver Thread, Foam Tape, Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets, Stampin' Spritzers

Congrats Bouquet Bunch!

Hello Friends!

One of my team members reached a title advancement called Bronze Elite and I sent her a congratulations card as well as other goodies for a job well done. It really doesn't take much when you are having so much fun! Come and join my team and see what extra perks you get!

I don't get to see her much as I don't have a car and she doesn't either.

Her box of goodies were sent to her directly, and she should have received this card today.

Copper Foil: 5" x 3-3/4" embossed in Layered Leaves. To get the colored leaves, I used COPIC markers to color the leave foil. Then attach to the Emerald Envy cs cut at 5-1/4" x 4". Then attach to the early espresso base card cut at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", score at 4-1/4".

Die cut two layering ovals with a window sheet to create the shaker part. Add foam adhesive around the oval and not leaving any openings, then glass beads were added.

Die cut the stems from Bouquet Bunch Framelits and secure the stems with multipurpose glue on top of the shaker element.

Die cut the congrats sentiment in copper foil and attach it to the shaker element.

Die cut the flowers from the Bouquet Bunch with the color theory dps. This card was a breeze. Give it a try!

Tools: Big Shot, Nesting Oval Dies, Bouquet Bunch Framelits, Precision Base Plate, Layered Leaves, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits,

Accessories: Foam Adhesive Strips, Multipurpose Glue

Papers: Color Theory DPs, Emerald Envy, Early Espresso, Copper Foil, Window sheet

Thinking of You: GDP098

Hello Friends!

I needed a break from designing and decided to play along with my friends at Global Design Project. As I don't have to think too much, the sketch is already done for me.

My card for today is working with the Climbing Orchid stamp set.

I love working with layers and sponging to give the realistic look of the orchid. I am an orchid lover, and when I saw this set, it is a must have stamp set.

I had remnants of DPs leftover from other projects, and this was perfect layout for it. The leaves were remnants of Birthday Memories. The wider strip of Pear Pizzazz stripes is from the Coffee Break DP. The sentiment is from remnants of Rich Razzleberry cs. NO WASTE! Instead of using another DP, I used the Burlap Ribbon my ribbon element.

Stamps: Climbing Orchid
Inks: Black Archival Ink, Rich Razzleberry
Papers: Pick a Pattern DP, Coffee Break DP, Birthday Memories, Watercolor Paper, Rich Razzleberry
Accessories: Burlap Ribbon, White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool

Happy Birthday Sheila!

Hello Friends!

I have another birthday celebration, and it is all about my sister-in-law who turned 55!

We are celebrating her birthday in Troll's HIGH-TEA style as she is a big fan of HIGH-TEA! We made Troll hats!

What's really nice is that my family is big enough, that we always have so much fun and it is hard to find time for great gatherings. Lots of laughters. This is mom and I.

Time is essential and the clock is ticking away, I created a fast clean easy card for my SIL. This has to be a special one as she has a shoebox full of my cards given to her.

Those that knows me, I am a WOW factor gal, and love interactive cards.

I am using the birthday memories suite and I love the vertical lines. I wanted the clean & easy look. The card is cut at 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored at 4-1/4", and then I took of 1/2" off on the right to expose the vertical DPs.

Here are the rest of the details:
  1. Die cut the Birthday from the Happy Birthday die, trim, and overlay the "Birthday" over the ovals.
  2. Strings several gold cords through the words and fussy cut the balloons.
  3. Stamp "Happy" from Bring on the Cake stamp set (retired) using the Whisper White craft, and then embossed it with White Embossing Powder. Trim to fit.
  4. Add glitter enamel embellishments.

My sister-in-law is 55, and I made a pop-up card.

  1.  When creating a pop-up, you can cut a strip of Whisper White remnants at 1/2" x 5", and score at every 1/2". Then you want to glue the ends to create a box.
  2. Secure the pop-up mechanism to the bottom and the side of the card, butting at the fold.
  3. I cut 4 layers of "5" from the large number framelits dies, and stack them together for sturdy.
  4. Stamp and cut the Marquee, trim, and weave the ends through the 5s and secure it together with your favourite adhesive.
  5. Glue the 5 onto the pop-up square. Add Basic Rhinestone Jewels.

I wrote a fun sentiment at the bottom arrow pointing to the handwritten word.

Stamps: Bring on the Cake (retired), Marquee Messages

Papers: Birthday Memories Suite, Real Red, Whisper White, Dapper Denim

Inks: Whisper White Craft

Tools/Accessories: Big Shot, Happy Birthday Framelits, Glitter Enamel Dots, Heat Tool, Adhesive Sheets, Glue Dots, Gold Thread, Oval Framelits, Basic Rhinestones, Number Framelits, White Embossing Powder

Thanks for stopping by ...

Celebrating Success!

Hello Friends!

This blog post is celebrating my downline success in achieving Silver level. I am so proud of her! All the hard work she has done.

To celebrate her Silver title achievement, I made this congrats card for her. I want to keep in line with the color Silver but with an added pop. Here is what I came up with last night! So awesome!

Can you see all the details? The idea came from the Lovely Words framelits die, and I wanted to see if I can do this with our Sunshine Wishes Thinlits with the die "Congrats" and the Layering Ovals. It is fussy die cutting but it is doable.

I stamped the tulips and fussy cut them, and then intertwine the leaves through the word before adding the window sheet behind it.

I decided to add some fun to this card and turned the main focal point to a shaker. I used the Silver sequins as my shaking elements and used the Jewel Rhinestone Basic for textures on the base card.

Just to make it more exciting, just an added bonus gift for her. Everything in Silver to celebrate her achievement! Way to go Helen!

This month, we have two promotions I want to talk about.

Promo 1: For every $60 you spend between now to the end of July, you will receive a $6.00 spending spree that you get to spend in August.
